Olive Leaf Extract - I truly believe it has been a life saver for me for many years. I am a cancer survivor, and took it during my heavy chemo and radiation with my doctor's blessings and I never got sick thru the entire ordeal. I almost never have a cold and if I do, I get over it immediately after taking the supplement. I do believe the claims that it is the only thing that attacks viruses. It is mentioned in the Bible - nothing new. If we do have a serious pandemic, I will surely be taking it.... I am the only one in my office who doesn't get all the colds and flu that everyone else has and I credit that to the supplement. Also, the research shows that at 900 mg., it reduces blood pressure. I know that at 300 mg., it reduced my blood pressure when it spiked - during stress, my prescription did not bring it down enough. I would greatly suggest you look into it again - I believe it is one of the most important substances known to man. Thanks.

Andrew, As bio-chemist you are divinely gifted and bless. Educating and sharing the wisdom of procaps natures vitamin is truly empowering and enriching. Health is Wealth. Our human body is the temply of Living God. Can you explain and email me how do you extract and standarized vitamins. Everytime, I meditate on taking procaps vitamins in powder form and the Vit. E in the liquid form and hold hold on my co-enzyme Q 10 in colorful orange capsule, I am captivated and fasinated and taking it gives me health and energy.

Hi Andrew,

I posted this in the wrong forum. I just saw your video, and completely can appreciate the consideration of olive leaf extract. I was hoping that your immune system support would have olive leaf extract in it. Unsure of how much you know about Olive Leaf potent benefits. It is made up of the phytochemical oleuropein, which breaks down to elenolic acid (a powerful anti-bacterial effect), and has the ability to interfere with critical amino acid production essential for viruses. Other ingredients in the olive leaf include ingredients include esters, multiple iridoids, rutin, apigenin, luteolin, etc. Please look at the Sloan-Kettering website highlighting olive leaf extract (http://www.mskcc.org/mskcc/html/69315.cfm) I look forward to your comments and please don't hesitate to contact/communicate with me.

Also I have some articles from pubmed that are more recent that suggest some very good benefits to olive leaf extract.

The aim of this research was to investigate the activity of a commercial extract
derived from the leaves of Olea europaea (olive) against a wide range of
microorganisms (n=122). Using agar dilution and broth microdilution techniques,
olive leaf extract was found to be most active against Campylobacter jejuni,
Helicobacter pylori and Staphylococcus aureus [including meticillin-resistant S.
aureus (MRSA)], with minimum inhibitory concentrations (MICs) as low as
0.31-0.78% (v/v). In contrast, the extract showed little activity against all
other test organisms (n=79), with MICs for most ranging from 6.25% to 50% (v/v).
In conclusion, olive leaf extract was not broad-spectrum in action, showing
appreciable activity only against H. pylori, C. jejuni, S. aureus and MRSA. Given
this specific activity, olive leaf extract may have a role in regulating the
composition of the gastric flora by selectively reducing levels of H. pylori and
C. jejuni.

We report the determination of phenolic compounds in olive leaves by
reversed-phase HPLC/DAD, and the evaluation of their in vitro activity against
several microorganisms that may be causal agents of human intestinal and
respiratory tract infections, namely gram positive (Bacillus cereus, B. subtilis
and Staphylococcus aureus), gram negative bacteria (Pseudomonas aeruginosa,
Escherichia coli and Klebsiella pneumoniae) and fungi (Candida albicans and
Cryptococcus neoformans). Seven phenolic compounds were identified and
quantified: caffeic acid, verbascoside, oleuropein, luteolin 7-O-glucoside,
rutin, apigenin 7-O-glucoside and luteolin 4'-O-glucoside. At low concentrations
olive leaves extracts showed an unusual combined antibacterial and antifungal
action, which suggest their great potential as nutraceuticals, particularly as a
source of phenolic compounds.
